I use a visual presenter called an Elmo (http://www.elmousa.com/p30hd-visual-presenter ) to display procedures via a screen link for students to watch “how to” procedures.
This is a great way to walk students through a simulation situation that they will need to learn. I demonstrate the procedures for them and talk about each step as we go along. I purposely leave out some detail in order for students to learn to troubleshoot when they are in their own clinical application. This works well also for showing surgical procedures like how to take a ‘punch biopsy’. Students really like this live hands-on presentation method. (Suzanne Carlisle)
